质量区
谐振器中去除材料会使指定谐振频率升高的任何区域。质量区通常是振幅相对较高的区域。对于半波轴向谐振器，质量区大致局限于谐振器前端和后端的 1/8 波长范围内。对于非轴向谐振，质量区可能位于其他位置。
Mass region
Any region in a resonator where removal of material will increase the frequency of a specified resonance. Mass regions are typically those regions of relatively high amplitude. For a half-wave axial resonator, the mass regions are confined approximately to the front and back 1/8 wavelength of the resonator. For nonaxial resonances, the mass regions may be located elsewhere.
