喷丸强化
通过用高速弹丸(通常由玻璃或钢制成)轰击零件表面,使零件表面产生压应力的工艺。
对于表面承受较高拉应力而内部拉应力较低(即存在应力梯度)的零件,喷丸强化可以提高零件的疲劳寿命。这类零件包括槽的端部以及承受弯曲应力的零件。然而,如果喷丸操作不当,反而会降低疲劳寿命。
Shot peening
The process of applying a compressive stress to the surface of a part by bombarding the part with high-speed pellets, often made of glass or steel.
For parts that experience high tensile stresses at the surface and lower tensile stresses toward the interior (i.e., that have a stress gradient), shot peening can improve the fatigue life of the part. Such parts include slot ends and parts that are subjected to flexure stress. However, if not properly performed, shot peening can reduce the fatigue life.
